In his more than four decades as a litigator, Dick Sayles has become a legend in the Texas legal world. His vast experience includes defending clients in cases involving defense of and claims against corporate directors and officers, securities claims, product liability and patent infringement suits, and high-stakes commercial litigation. Dick has taken more than 150 cases to trial, winning more than a dozen jury verdicts exceeding millions of dollars, and earning a stellar reputation and a host of accolades. 


His list of accolades includes being honored as “Trial Lawyer of the Year” (2018) and “Texas Trail Legend” (2012) by the Dallas Bar Association; featured in The Texas Lawbook’s “Lions of the Texas Bar” (2016-2017); and recognized by Chambers USA, Benchmark Litigation, Who’s Who Legal: Litigation and The Best Lawyers in America®. His peers selected him seven times to the Texas Super Lawyers list of the Top 10 lawyers in Texas. Dick also is listed in Texas Lawyer “Texas Trailblazers” (2020), D Magazine’s “Best Lawyers in Dallas” (2001, 2003, 2007-2009, 2011-2021), LawDragon’s “500 Leading Lawyers” (2020), and VerdictSearch’s “Top 100 Verdicts of the Year” (2001, 2004, 2007, 2009). 


In addition to these accolades, Dick is AV preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell® and is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers, International Academy of Trial Lawyers, International Society of Barristers and Litigation Counsel of America. He earned his J.D. (magna cum laude) from the University of Houston Law Center, where he was a member of the University of Houston Law Review, and he received a B.A. from Vanderbilt University. 


Dick serves as managing partner of Bradley’s Dallas office, which opened in January 2019 and was formerly the trial boutique firm Sayles Werbner, P.C. He has led the strategic growth of the Dallas office which has tripled in size since its opening and oversaw the move to Fountain Place in September 2021.
