Byeong Cheol Yun

Byeong Cheol Yun is a partner at Yoon & Yang LLC. His main practice areas are commercial litigation, construction litigation, and criminal litigation. During the tenure for twenty years as a Judge at the various levels of courts in Korea, Mr. Yun handled numerous litigation cases regarding international transactions, securities, corruption, construction, medical malpractice, labor, and industrial accidents.

He has been constantly recognised as a Dispute Resolution Star and Litigation Star in the field of Commercial and Transactions in South Korea by Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific since 2018.

• Successfully represented Hanwha Chemical (currently Hanwha Solutions) in a litigation seeking to return of deposit regarding the attempted acquisition of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., Ltd.
• Represented Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation in a litigation claiming compensation for BNK Financial Group Inc.’s damages related to sales of shares of BNK Kyongnam Bank.
• Represented Kolon Life Science Inc. in a litigation seeking a revocation of Ministry of Food and Drug Safety’s disposition related to the Invossa incident.
• Represented Seoul Metro in a litigation claiming compensation for damages related to Seoul Subway Line 2 advertisement fee.
