Cobalt

COBALT is a notable firm in Lithuania and practices all areas of dispute resolution. The team is headed by Rimantas Simaitis and is comprised of six partners and 22 lawyers. The firm has specialised practices for white-collar crime, public procurement, bankruptcy and restructuring.  

The firm is representing Air Baltic Corporation in bankruptcy proceedings and the case claim damages allegedly caused by Respondents’ actions of competition law infringements. 

The firm is also representing Veolia Group in a dispute against a Lithuanian network regarding discrimination claims against other state-owned electricity plants.

Primus Derling advises its clients in cross-border litigation matters, international arbitration cases and commercial disputes. Marius Devyžis and Robert Juodka are key names in the firm. 

The firm advised Siemens Healthcare in three civil court disputes against a competitor. The case concerned issues of authority to maintain commercial secrets.

The firm also represented an Estonian construction design company in a cross-border dispute related to damages by a Lithuanian subcontractor.

Ellex Valiunas

Ellex Valinus is a key disputes player in the Lithuanian market and has a notable presence across the pan-Baltic region. Key areas of work for the firm include banking and finance, investment protection disputes and competition law.

The firm advised 289 class claimants in a class action dispute against the State Company Deposit and Investment Insurance. The case related to deposit insurance protection. 

Another case highlight saw the firm advise sugar manufacturing company Nordzucker on claims of excessive air pollution and refusal to terminate alleged illegal actions.
