PETERKA & PARTNERS is the one truly CEE law firm that has built a pan-regional full-service practice with a unique fully-integrated infrastructure. The firm provides a one-stop shop for legal services over several jurisdictions or the whole region.
Our integrated services in the CEE region offer:
- One primary contact as a single point of entry and delivery
- Single outputs (memos, legal opinions, etc.) covering several jurisdictions
- A single agreement on the provision of legal services governing all services
- Nine fully-integrated offices located in Prague, Bratislava, Kyiv, Sofia, Moscow, Bucharest, Warsaw, Minsk, and Budapest. To strengthen our presence in the CEE region we are soon going to open the tenth office in Croatia.
PETERKA & PARTNERS formalized its divisions with respect to particular practice/industry areas at the regional level, namely the legal practice areas of Antitrust and Competition, Banking and Finance, Compliance and Regulatory, Corporate, Criminal Law, Data Protection, Family and Inheritance Law, General Commercial and Distribution, Immigration, Intellectual Property, Labour Law, Law of Information Technologies, Litigation and Insolvency, Mergers and Acquisitions, Public Procurement, Real Estate, and Tax, and in the sector practice areas of Automotive, Aviation, Energy, Pharma and Life Sciences, Retail and Luxury, Sport, Media and Gaming, and Transportation and Logistics. The practices are led by lawyers with exceptional experience at the regional level, as well as in the individual countries concerned. This enables us to provide our clients and partner law firms with the highest level of expertise. Further, we have long-term experience in offering legal services via our German, Russian, Polish and French Desks in individual countries or as an integrated legal service over the entire CEE region.
Litigation and Insolvency practice is led by Jiri Cerny, Partner of the firm.
The majority of our cases contain a cross-border element. The lawyers of our various offices in the CEE region work together closely, which enables us to reflect on the differences in the perception of substantive legal matters by judges and arbitrators in different jurisdictions. We believe that in complex commercial litigation and insolvency matters, cooperation with the client is essential for the positive outcome of the proceedings. For our clients, we also coordinate lawyers in proceedings initiated in jurisdictions where we do not have a direct presence. This approach secures the implementation of a unified strategy in all proceedings.
Lawyers from the Prague office represent clients in courts, and also before various arbitration bodies. With respect to arbitration, we usually create teams composed of lawyers from several of our offices.Last updated 8th January 2019
